About The Colony (Bonita Springs, FL)
Continuing the rich tradition of amazing upscale private golf course development, WCI continued to set the standard for golfing excellence in Florida with The Colony. U.S. Open Champion Jerry Pate brought this breathtaking landscape to life on his finest creation which opened for play in March 2000. Expanding across 809 acres, this challenging 18-hole golf course is immersed in native grasses and oak hammock. Our customers can now experience the unique character of this spirited course through the WCI Experience® "Member for a Day" program.
Note: As part of the WCI Experience®, The Colony's "Member for a Day" program requires a pre-round scheduled visit with the membership director.

You would be hard pressed to find a nicer course... I didn't score well because it can visually look a bit tight from the tee box, expecially if you are long and inconsistent with your driver. All in all though, definately one of the nicest courses I have ever played. We barely saw another golfer on the course and it was in immaculate condition... just awesome! This is the second year I have made it part of my vacation, and will be doing the same next year!
